On Saturday, January 27th, at 10 am at the Washington County-Jonesborough Library, 200 Sabin Drive, Jonesborough, the Jonesborough Genealogical Society will host its monthly Genealogy Day with speaker, Ann K. Blomquist, who is the administrator at the East Tennessee Historical Society for their certificate program of First Families of Tennessee. She is the author of 13 genealogy books, editor of 3 genealogy magazines, teacher of genealogy classes, and lecturer on many genealogical and historical topics. She is a member of 7 lineage societies and active participant in local chapters. Her talk will be titled, “First Families of Tennessee and Other Lineage Societies.” She will be discussing the First Families of Tennessee project and the importance of Lineage Societies.
