The Jonesborough Genealogical Society will once again be apart of the East Tennessee History Fair in Krutch Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Saturday, August 18th from 10 am to 5 pm. This year’s fair is full of events including a full antique fair, special rates to the East Tennessee History Center, and a book sale, along with reenactments and don’t forget the History Hound contest, and a park full of genealogical and historical organizations!

This year’s fair will be a bit different for the society. As we grow and try to engage our members, we have partnered with the East Tennessee Historical Society, who hosts the fair, and the NextGen Genealogy Network to bring a young genealogists meetup to Knoxville. Our tent will be the host, and will have information available about genealogy and history in Tennessee’s Oldest Town. Please look at the press release: https://www.tnggn.org/east-tennessee-history-fair-meetup/

MEMBERS: This is where we need you! We need members to go, work the tent, and enjoy the sites and sounds of the event! Please let President Chad Bailey (by email chadfredb@gmail.com or phone 423 791-8295) know as soon as possible if you can go! We will carpool to the event from the Washington County-Jonesborough Library. We will leave at 7:30 am to arrive by 9 am to sit up. Please Please think about attending. This will be an awesome networking event and will help us meet our goals of growing as a society!
